Gearbox Software bracht in februari op Steam, Homeworld Remastered Collection uit, de HD-remake van de uit 1999 verschenen real-time strategie game, Homeworld. Vandaag heeft Ubisoft laten weten dat Homeworld Remastered Collection vanaf 7 mei ook als retail verschijnt.

De Homeworld Remastered Collection bevat zowel Homeworld als Homeworld 2. Beide games zijn door Gearbox Software in een HD-sausje gedipt, waardoor de game nu een hogere resolutie texturen en 3D-modellen, nieuwe grafische effecten en 4K resolutie-ondersteuning bevat.

Als gratis bonus bevat de Homeworld Remastered Collection ook de originele versies van Homeworld en Homeworld 2 met compatibiliteits-updates. Iedereen die de Homeworld Remastered Collection aanschaft krijg ook gratis toegang tot de Homeworld Remastered Steam Multiplayer Beta. Andere extra’s zijn digitale versies van de Homeworld Remastered Soundtrack, Homeworld 2 Remastered Soundtrack en een digitaal artbook.
