Wij zagen het al aankomen en inmiddels heeft ook Andre House, president en CEO van Sony Computer Entertainment laten weten dat de Playstation first-party line-up voor 2015 een beetje schaars is. Dit liet House deze week tijdens de Sony investeerders dagen weten.

“We are working very hard to continue very strong support from third-party pubs and devs. Our first-party line-up is a little sparse this year, so I think this places even greater emphasis on getting good third-party support.”

De third-party games die voor Playstation 4 dit najaar verschijnen, komen ook uit op Xbox One en nu Uncharted 4 is uitgesteld naar 2016 heeft Sony alleen nog maar God of War 3 Remastered en Until Dawn voor het aankomende kwartaal als first-party’s klaarstaan.

“I will admit that these are, in the current publishing landscape, few and far between, but we were able to announce a full exclusive around a franchise like Street Fighter so that Street Fighter 5 is a complete exclusive for PlayStation 4. Although given publishing dynamics and development costs, those are increasingly difficult to secure.”

Wellicht dat Sony tijdens haar E3 persconferentie met een najaarsreleasedatum voor Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, Fat Princess Adventures, No Man’s Sky, Ratchet & Clank HD en Tearaway: Unfolded komt, maar naast deze games brengt Sony geen andere first-party games dit jaar meer uit.
